Alekhya Vykunta

I’m a recent Kelley School of Business graduate with experience in customer service, social media management, content creation, and event promotion. Through my Public Relations role with Indiana University’s Essence Dance Team, I managed social media content, created promotional graphics, maintained content calendars, and engaged with followers online. I also have customer-facing experience as a restaurant server, which strengthened my communication, multitasking, and ability to stay organized in fast-paced environments.

I’m especially excited about this role because it combines two things I enjoy: creating a welcoming experience for people in person and helping a brand build an engaging presence online.

• Managed front-of-house restaurant operations independently during shifts while the manager supported the adjoining boba bar, including greeting guests, taking and entering orders, processing payments, and addressing customer needs throughout service

Agency Member at Content Marketing Practicum (2025-09 – 2025-12)

• Collaborating with Doriot in the M470 Content Marketing Practicum to develop a multi-phase digital strategy that focused on rich content, targeting IU Kelley alumni, including blog content, persona-driven storytelling, and social media funnel tactics
• Supporting the Strategic Partnership specialization team outreach by identifying and initiating collaboration opportunities with IU Innovates, The Mill, and Kelley Alumni Association to amplify campaign reach and alumni engagement in order to launch the IU Alumni VentureStaking Arena community

Student Consultant at Brand Management Practicum (2025-02 – 2025-05)

• Partnered with Cheez-It brand managers to develop a marketing strategy aimed at increasing top-of-mind awareness and cultural relevance among Gen Z for Cheez-It Duoz using tactics such as social media strategy optimization, a user-generated content campaign, and targeted influencer marketing to elevate digital engagement and brand relevance
• Conducted primary research through surveys and focus groups, analyzed secondary data, and developed a comprehensive brand strategy deliverable including personas, positioning, influencer and creative briefs, KPIs, risk mitigation plans, and a campaign timeline using tools like Gantt charts

Marketing Assistant at Irish Life (2024-06 – 2024-08)

• Supported marketing initiatives for the MyLife health and wellbeing app by conducting comprehensive market analysis contributing to communication strategies and content creation, providing insights to enhance user engagement and app promotion
• Assisted in customer query resolution and event support, provided feedback on user experience with MyLife app features and onboarding processes, and collaborated with the marketing team to develop more than 10 targeted strategies reliant on industry trends and competitor insights

Production Staff Member at Trumbull Youth Association (2022-06 – 2022-07)

• Collaborated with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns for the summer musical by capitalizing on various methods of advertising, resulting in an increase in ticket sales and 75% of shows being sold out
• Facilitated collaboration and delegation of tasks among new team members by instructing and mentoring crew members in production set design for musical productions, resulting in efficient task completion and 100% on-time project delivery
