I grew up in Guatemala City, Guatemala. I attended Duke University, where I studied Neuroscience and Global Health. I then worked as a Research Associate at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in NYC before moving to DC for a Global Health Corps Fellowship at the Inter-American Development Bank.
I went to medical school at Northwestern in Chicago, and completed Pediatrics Residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. After residency, I spent a year in Kenya where I was a Post-Doc Research Fellow with AMPATH East Africa. I'm now a second year Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
I am a Pediatric Emergency Medicine clinician and a researcher. My interests are in global health, pediatric trauma management and geospatial sciences.
