Alexandra Burgos

I have previously worked as a special education teacher in a middle school setting. As a special education teacher I managed my caseload by collaborating with teachers, parents and service providers of each student.

I have worked as a special education teacher for the last 2 years. Throughout that time I have learned to manage my caseload, collaborate with other staff and communicate with parents my students' needs. I have held many roles while being a special education teacher.

I have been a safe place for my students, a person to confide in, and a advocate for any of my student's needs. With the enriorments and area my students were brought up in my goal was for them to want to come to school by offering a welcoming environment and find fun ways to teach math and language arts. Before teaching I was a dog trainer for a dog hiking group in LA.

Through my MS in Human canine life sciences, I learned how animal behavior and how it is easily related to human behavior. I would love to one day have facility dog place of work to give my clients a social emotional support/comfort.

I have my bachelors in Psychology from California Lutheran University. I received my MS in Human Canine Life Sciences from Bergin University of Canine Studies. I was also in an education specialist program for special ed teachers at California Lutheran University.
