I have 4+ years as a certified Medical Assistant with training in general surgery, primary care and urgent care. I am a bilingual speaker with English being my primary language and Spanish being my second.
My skills include: medical terminology, clinical procedures, insurance verification and authorization, medical coding, orthopedic splints, medication administration, vaccines and much more. I am passionate about patient advocacy and advancing medical research, en route to pursuing my career as a nurse.
1 year in General surgery, 2 years in Urgent care and 1 year with Primary care as a medical assistant with prior experience in Ophthalmology as a medical scribe and receptionist.
Completed high school with a 3.6 GPA
Achieved my CMA Certification and schooling with a 3.7 GPA at Southern Technical College.
Currently attending school to complete my ASN to further receive my BSN.
