I’m Alexis Adams, a passionate and dedicated worker with a strong background in animal science and research. I am about to complete my master’s degree at LMU CVM, where I focus on the veterinary biomedical sciences, more specifically enhancing veterinary care accessibility through projects like price transparency research. Growing up in both China and Kentucky, I developed a unique global perspective, which fuels my drive to improve veterinary care, especially in underserved communities.
I’ve gained hands-on experience in veterinary practices, beef farms, and research, and my work has been published in reputable journals. I believe in the power of collaboration, and I’m committed to both academic excellence and making a meaningful impact on the veterinary field.
I have gained diverse professional experience through various roles in both veterinary and academic settings. As a graduate assistant at the Lincoln Library and Museum and a graduate research assistant at LMU CVM, I contributed to research on price transparency in veterinary medicine. I also worked as a graduate housing coordinator at LMU, where I developed strong organizational and communication skills.
In addition, I have hands-on experience working at local beef farms and at Bell County Animal Clinic, which has greatly enhanced my veterinary knowledge. These roles have provided me with a blend of research, leadership, and clinical experience, all of which inform my commitment to accessible, high-quality veterinary care.
I am currently pursuing my master’s degree at LMU CVM, where I focus on enhancing veterinary care accessibility through research on price transparency in veterinary medicine. Previously, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Kentucky, where I developed a strong foundation in animal care and veterinary science. This education, combined with my hands-on experience, fuels my drive to improve veterinary care, especially in underserved communities.
