Since 2018, I have been a certified personal trainer, successfully operating a small studio where I assisted diverse groups in achieving their fitness objectives, enhancing their physical well-being, and fostering personal connections through strength coaching. My experience also includes working for and engaging in various exercise modalities, providing me with insights into both poorly and excellently managed systems. I consistently observe systems to identify areas for improvement and determine how I can contribute to enhancing outcomes for both the organization and its employees.
This perspective stems from my extensive tenure at a medical manufacturing facility, where I gained significant knowledge in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and interdepartmental collaboration (customer service, sales, engineering, quality control, production, production control). During this time, I also conducted cost analyses and practiced upward management to achieve desired results. I am eager to apply my recently acquired undergraduate degree and problem-solving approach to my next professional endeavor.
I've had a diverse career, starting in retail.
Most recently, I have been a small business owner to the present, where I focused on client intake, one-on-one and small group training, and business management including finances, marketing, and staff hiring.
Prior to that, as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Administrative Support at Crunch Fitness from March 2019 to May 2020, I developed personalized exercise plans, instructed on proper techniques, monitored progress, provided nutritional guidance, and handled administrative tasks such as membership processing and lead generation.
My experience also includes significant project management and customer service. As an Account Manager at Jetmail Services Inc. from February 2017 to February 2019, I managed invoicing, estimates, and project workflows from start to finish. I onboarded new clients, generated leads, and facilitated process improvements while collaborating with various departments.
At Precision Coating Co., from September 2008 to February 2017, I held several roles that heavily involved project coordination and customer service.
Coordinator III, I worked with internal departments on lean improvements and cost savings, reduced waste in production workflows, addressed bottlenecks, and signed off on work orders. Earlier positions included Production Supervisor, Project Coordinator, Production Control Coordinator, and a Customer Service Rep and Accounts Manager from September 2008 to February 2010, where I gained foundational experience in client interaction and managing accounts.
I just finished my bachelors of exercise science and am considering a graduate program or certificate in the next 12-18 months.
