Hi, I’m Allison Bennett, a passionate graduate student with a strong foundation in community engagement, event coordination, and customer service. Currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Food Studies at Chatham University, I thrive on creating meaningful experiences that connect people and foster growth.
With experience ranging from organizing cooking workshops to managing high-paced service environments, I’ve honed my skills in project management, marketing, and interpersonal communication. My work as a Graduate Assistant and Community Outreach Intern has given me the opportunity to develop creative solutions, build relationships, and lead impactful events.
I’m especially excited about roles where I can combine my organizational expertise with my commitment to delivering exceptional experiences—whether that’s through event planning, customer relations, or fostering community connections.
When I’m not working or studying, you can find me exploring new recipes, supporting local businesses, or enjoying the vibrant cultural scene in Pittsburgh.
Let’s connect—I’d love to hear about opportunities to collaborate or ways I can contribute to your team!
I have a diverse background in community outreach, customer service, and event coordination. As a Community Outreach and Workshop Intern at Third Space Bakery, I assisted in planning and executing cooking workshops, managed event promotion through social media, and contributed to generating ideas for future events. In my role as a Graduate Assistant at Chatham University, I coordinated projects, built relationships within the community, and hosted educational demonstrations.
Additionally, I have extensive customer service experience from roles such as Style Team Member at Target, Bartender at Clarksburg Cider, and Server at Shady Grove. These positions allowed me to demonstrate efficiency, adaptability, and a commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction.
Through these experiences, I’ve developed strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments, and a passion for creating meaningful and engaging experiences.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Food Studies at Chatham University, where my coursework focuses on understanding food systems, sustainability, and culture. Key areas of study include food access, fermentation, food culture history, wine/cider/and meads, and sustainable meat production.
