My name is Alyssa Huss. I am a 21-year-old SUNY New Paltz student, studying Visual Arts. My passion is to merge my love of nature with my artistic skills. My dream is to work in environmental conservation, particularly in wildlife rehabilitation.
Inspired by my grandfather, who served as Chief of the DEC for four decades, I'm motivated to combine my artistry with my love for nature. I aspire to create captivating visual stories that advocate for wildlife preservation. With a strong background in visual arts and a dedicated commitment to environmental stewardship, I am eager to contribute to the intersection of art and environmental conservation.
At Suffolk County Parks my job is to Monitor and ensure the safety of endangered birds specifically, the Piping Plover. i Have a lot of experience participating in volunteer work such as catch and release of ducks , KIC ( keep islip clean) and litter removal.
I have been a student at Suny New Paltz since 2021, studying mainly the arts. With my immense passion for nature, I have made it my main goal to combine my love for art and nature.
