I'm Amanda Toole, I live in the Tampa, FL area. I am a wife and mom to 2 kids under 5 and also full time employee at the University of South Florida. I have worked in Higher Education since 2012 with thousands of incoming undergraduate and graduate students in an admissions capacity. I currently work half remote and half in-office. I am looking to add a part-time flexible job to supplement my income.
I have worked with thousands of undergraduate and graduate students in an admissions capacity basically since 2012. I started my career as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama where I worked until the end of 2015. I wore a dozen hats there, from data entry, campus tours, orientation, running the student tour ambassadors, traveling around the state, and working with athletes.
In 2016 I moved to the Tampa area where I worked at the front desk of a Rheumatology office while I looked for work at a university. There I worked in customer service answering phones, emails, patient messages, data entry, insurance, and scheduling.
In September of 2016 I started working at the University of South Florida as an Admissions Evaluator, which was basically only data entry and making decisions on hundreds of admissions applications for undergraduate students.
From there, I moved up to Admissions Recruiter where I worked with thousands of undergraduate students from the local (and largest) territory. I answered hundreds of emails weekly, phone calls, entered data, traveled to high schools, and worked with families daily.
In 2021 I moved over to USF College of Medicine Grad Programs as a Graduate Admissions Advisor and I currently enter, process, and work with all of our incoming graduate students for these programs. I am the only one in this role so I email each applicant, enter their data, and process each application- start to finish. I run our student Ambassador program as well as travel for recruitment events and host our own student days.
