As a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Landscape Architecture, I aspire to become a licensed Landscape Architect. My foundational interest in architecture led me to explore the landscape, and I hope to one day merge these two disciplines. Growing up in diverse communities around the world has fostered a deep cultural appreciation for both natural and built environments.
My fascination and curiosity with the world have guided me to the path of design where I aim to contribute to the development of environmentally equitable communities.
My studies started at the Savannah College of Art and Design, which is where I developed fundamental design skills. It was during this time, while studying architecture, that I discovered my true passion. After transferring to UMass Amherst, my interests expanded, and I began envisioning a future where I could integrate my studies in landscape architecture and architecture.
I value the two fields equally and plan to combine them in a way that they complement and amplify each other. My short-term goal is to acquire work experience that can diversify my skills, knowledge, and sustainable adaptability.
I have completed various internships in construction, architecture, and landscaping during my studies to broaden my knowledge and develop a multi-disciplinary skill set. My most recent internships have emphasized sustainable practices, which has allowed me to develop a greater understanding of designing for our future.
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from UMass Amherst with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture.
