I am a recently graduated Master's student with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, with an undergraduate background in Nutrition and Dietetics. My educational and professional experience has prepared me to enter the food industry at the management level in order to oversee and direct the food industry operation. I have worked in manufacturing, have experience with the geriatric population and their dietary needs, and have General Manager experience in the healthy- fast casual business. My interest and passion lies with making food safe, and being able to provide oversight to any operation I am working in.
Currently, I am employed as a General Manager at Beyond Juicery Eatery. I have advanced in this position after starting as an Assistant Manager. I have worked in the kitchen and hold experience with knowledge of kitchen operations through my work as a Dietary Aide in a long-term rehabilitation facility for geriatric patients. I have completed my projects while employed as a Quality Control Intern at Kowalski, Co. In this position, I have created a HACCP plan for their family facility Home Style Foods. I have also created an FSMA plan per FDA protocols for this operation as well. Kowalski, Co. also manufacture's salad dressing in their facility Consumer Guild. I have updated and created their ingredient label per the current FDA guidelines, and made sure that their operation is in accordance with the ingredient labels I created. I have served as a nutritional counselor for an organization that inspired the residents of Detroit, MI to obtain healthy produce through their local farmers market. Additionally, I have worked with the students residing in Detroit, MI and have gained awareness of their views on body image, self-esteem, and exercise in accordance with their eating habits in a structured research assistant position.
I completed my Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Madonna University, and have completed their dietetics coursework while obtaining an ACEND certificate for my completion. My undergraduate coursework was completed at Wayne State University, and I hold a degree in Nutrition and Food Science.
