Aminah Muhammad

Currently studying as a studio art major at West Chester University, Aminah Muhammad was always a creative individual. From diapers to paintbrushes, art has always played a significant part in her life, leading her to pursue an education in the artistic field.

During

Aminah's time at the Philadelphia High School of Creative and Performing Arts, she worked as an artist for her school's magazine, The Litmag. Also, she participated in an after-school club called Art-upreneurs, where she helped develop designs and illustrations for Mural Arts Philadelphia. With the experience, she learned to use art programs like Adobe Illustrator, Procreates, and Canva. In addition, Aminah worked as an artist intern under the Bloomberg Internship and assisted the faculty at the Mainline Art Center. She was introduced to different art mediums and even assisted teachers with their classes.

As Aminah transitioned to West Chester University, she explored the various art exhibits and further improved her art. When she is not busy with her classes, Aminah tries to engage in a multitude of hobbies. Aminah's most recent interests are sewing and fashion design, and she is showing progress.

Aminah's future varies because she wants to explore diverse careers in art. But she knows that she wants to create art for people, and she is excited to see where her journey at West Chester University will take her.
