Amjad Iqbal

I have an analytical creative mind, which exceeds under-pressure. Post university, I have written articles on subjects varying from culture to politics, performed stand up, curated photography shoots for my brand which posts daily. Put out an Album.

Designed various products ranging from garments to bikes. I have directed short films. This has all been under the umbrella of Crescent, which has gained me access to explore evolving mediums as an artist.

Crescent grew from the stories of muslims in concentration camps in Xinjiang China, from not being able to grasp the full story from one news source. I took it upon myself to write a rounded article and design a fashion collection to bring light to the story. Not everything that inspires me to create is as dire, collections have formed around comedy, my own cartoon character DOOMI's adventures and my everyday reflections on our collective cultural zeitgeist.

Crescent hopes to design beautiful pieces while shining a light on us. I hope it's a reflection of my personality, serious when required but mostly good humoured. I want it to be my ever growing portfolio.
