Amy Macey

I split my time between Aquinnah, MA and Madison, CT. I have three children, ranging in age from 36 to 21, a husband, and two dogs. I love to hike, go on long bicycle rides, spin, do yoga, cook, and travel. My native language is English, and I am fluent in Italian and conversant in Spanish and French. I have also lived in Italy for three years.

I have worked for 18 years as a high school English teacher, serving as a Master Teacher, chairing the career review committee, coaching soccer and lacrosse, and advising students. I am currently tutoring high schools students who need support in writing, and I work with students on their college essays and applications. Prior to teaching, I worked as the Executive Director of two different Assisted Living Facilities, and in Administration at a New York State Psychiatric Hospital.

I also worked at Planned Parenthood.
