Anayancy Estacio

I am currently a middle school English teacher from NC. I have taught middle school for two years but I have been in the education industry for 7 years. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Global Studies and I am currently in the process of completing my TEFL certification. When I am not teaching I like to write poetry and look at the stars.

I have been in the education industry since I was 16 years old when I got my first job as a Supplemental Instructor for Fayetteville State University. I worked three years as a Program Coordinator for Dobbins Hill Family Center. I had this job at the same time I was a full time student at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Following graduation I was briefly in a fellowship program where I was a researcher and educator at nonprofit in Black Mountain, NC before I left for Henderson to teach 7th history. I decided to return back to my hometown of Fayetteville in 2022 to teach English to middle schoolers, grades 6-8.

I have a BA in Global Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I went through a three month apprenticeship program in teaching before I was hired as a teacher at Henderson Collegiate Middle School. While being a first-year teacher there I went through continual professional development. I am currently in the process of completing my TEFL certification from i-to-i.
