•  ADS-B Out Transceiver STC Certification and flight test expert developing General Aviation ADS-B transceivers.
• 737-300 Aerial Firefighter STC Chief Engineer to modify 737-300s for dual mission of carrying passengers or dropping 4000 gallons of retardant in 2 seconds. • Sr Director of Engineering Led Engineering organization of over 50 on-site engineers plus multiple engineering services providers in integrated product development team format. Managed development programs and organization to meet budget and schedule constraints. Major accomplishments were FAA and EASA certification of the 767-300ER/-300F, and 757-300 Winglets and 737NG Split Scimitar Winglet.

Responsibilities

• Director of Engineering and New Business Development (2006- 2008) Led development of Thailand facility for overhauling APUs, Accessories, Flight Control Structures, Thrust Reversers and Inlet Nacelles. Applied Lean principles to facility design.
• FAA SFAR-36 Authorized Representative and Administrator (1995- 2008)- Developed and approved multi-use major repairs in compliance with Part 21, 25, 33, 43, 121 and 145 regulations.
• Director of Engineering and Quality (1998-2006) Led the Engineering and Quality team. Major accomplishments were achieving ISO9000-2002 and AS9100 certification, developing overhaul capability for GTCP660 (747 classics), PW901A (747-400), GTCP131 (737NG and A320), and GTCP331-350 (A330) APU models. Also maintained or obtained certification from EASA, CAAC, JCAB, DGAC and maintained the repair station in full Part 145 compliance with FAA regulations. Travelled to customer sites to trouble shoot APU, electrical and bleed air systems. Applied lean principles to APU overhaul process
• TSCP700 Product line manager (1997-1998) Managed a production cell team of certified repairman to meet product delivery schedules..
• SR APU Engineer (1993-1997) Developed overhaul and component major repair capability for the GTCP331-200 and 250 for the Boeing 757/767 and Airbus A300/A310 and TSCP700 for the MD11, DC-10, KC-10.
