My name is Andrew Theisen and I have been video editing for around 5 years through the Adobe Suite. I have always had an interest in video editing, but I feel my passion grew for this work when I first entered my university. I love being able to create cohesive stories and having a hand in how those stories unfold. Video editing, to me, is more than just a job; it is a way for me to create stories.
From September of 2016 to January of 2022, I was a Laser Tag Manager at Hockey Sticks Cafe; A local business to where I grew up. Here I learned to manage both equipment and new employees to keep the workplace up and running. I learned to problem solve under time constraints while also maintaining a schedule for customers and groups accessing our facilities. I also learned how to provide professional aid to customers with strong communication skills.
In May of 2023 I graduated from Rowan University with a BA in Radio, Television, and Film. I graduated with a 3.99 GPA and was given an award (Donovan Family Award for Excellence in Radio, TV & Film) for my work throughout the years at the university. I had taken many classes related to editing, such as TV Production, Film Production, Sound for Film & Video, Post-Production, and Motion Graphics.
I utilized the Adobe Suite for the entirety of my time at the university, so I have a strong understanding of its programs (predominantly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop). I created a multitude of short-film projects during my time at the university that also show off my video editing skillset.
