• Conducting routine safety equipment running checks including safety showers, eye washes, ladders
• Completing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and planned maintenance inspections
• Delivering corrective and reactive work ensuring that tools, parts and materials are available
• Competing dynamic risk assessments necessary to ensure that safe working practices are upheld and risk reduced
• Undertake physical mechanical alignment on equipments
• Planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, motors (troubleshooting and overhauling)
• Inspections on conveyor systems, rollers changeout
• Conducting thorough inspections on aspects such as temperature, pressure, vibration and monitor elements in computerised system
• Contributing to problem solving workshops, providing engineering expertise to identify root cause of failures
• Attending daily operational review meetings, providing updates on planned maintenance compliance
• Propose measures to improve reliability and availability of equipments by minimising failures
• Report all minor and major changes in equipments conditions to supervisors (unusual noises, smells)
• Responding to emergency breakdowns whilst on site ensuring production downtime is minimised
• Rebuilding and installation of spare cyclones, drive-in sump pumps, cyclone feed pumps
• Servicing of bearings, conducting crusher inspections
