About
I work with many of the same funding sources central to community development and neighborhood services, including CDBG, CDBG-CV, ESG, AB309, HOME, HOME-AAHTF, Nevada HOME (NVHOME), and related programs. My experience combines grant financial monitoring, kick out meetings, reimbursement and drawdown processing, compliance documentation, program coordination, grant packets, relationships with vendors, PR’s Par Up’s administrative support, etc. My responsibilities extend beyond routine financial processing.
I review expenditures and supporting documentation, monitor available funding and reimbursement activity, prepare reconciliations and reports, research discrepancies, and coordinate with grant staff, management, Treasury, Purchasing, community organizations, vendors, and governmental partners. I also take part in grant kickoff, monitoring, and follow-up meetings and help track outstanding items and deadlines. Through ESG and HOME-related work, I have developed practical familiarity with the fiscal and compliance side of programs serving individuals experiencing homelessness and supporting affordable housing and community development.
In my current County role, I applied that same approach when I developed a standardized Payment Requisition form and step-by-step SOP to resolve inconsistent submissions; management adopted both departments wide.
