I have been a social studies educator since 2001. I have taught every social studies course with the exception of psychology to students ranging from grades 6-12. During these years I have received five awards, including the 2016 Gilder-Lehrman Michigan Teacher of the Year. In addition to teaching, I have coached football, wrestling, and track. I am passionate about teaching and have devoted myself fully in order to improve the lives of my students.
I worked for Clarenceville Public Schools from 2001-2024. I have taught both middle school and high school every social studies course with the exception of psychology.
I graduated from Michigan State University in 1996 with a B.A. in Political-Science/Prelaw. I received a second degree from the University of Michigan- Dearborn in 2001 with a B.A. in History Education. I completed my Master's Degree in Education from Marygrove College in Detroit in 2006.
