I am a caring, energetic, and experienced educator with 25+ years of teaching experience working with students from kindergarten through middle school. I provide personalized instruction in all core subjects, with specialized expertise in dyslexia, reading intervention, learning differences, and executive functioning skills. My goal is to make learning engaging and enjoyable while building each child’s confidence, independence, and academic skills.
I have experience in general education, learning support, special education, and Stanford University dyslexia research. I am passionate about helping every child discover their strengths and learn, grow, and thrive!
I bring 25+ years of experience as an educator, teaching students from kindergarten through middle school in public, private, and specialized school settings. My experience includes classroom teaching, learning support, special education, reading intervention, dyslexia instruction, and one-on-one tutoring across all core subjects. I have taught students with diverse learning needs and have supported IEPs, academic assessments, executive functioning, and individualized learning plans.
I also participated in a Stanford University dyslexia research study, providing reading fluency and comprehension intervention to children and adults with dyslexia. Throughout my career, I have partnered closely with families and colleagues to help students build academic skills, confidence, and independence.
I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a CLAD emphasis and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Notre Dame de Namur University. My education and professional training have prepared me to teach across elementary grade levels and support diverse learning needs. I also completed graduate-level coursework in Speech Pathology at California State University, Hayward, further strengthening my understanding of language, communication, and learning development.
