I'm a driven third-year bioengineering student at Clemson University with an interest in orthopedics, medical devices, and sports engineering. With my passion for the medical field stemming from personal experiences coupled with my high energy and aptitude for problem-solving, I am seeking internship opportunities to gain practical experience and contribute to meaningful projects in the sports science world or medical device industry.
During my time with the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopedic Surgery, I have investigated mechanisms of spinopelvic fixation systems and evaluated head positioning systems for manuscript publications. In Clemson, I have been involved in several research projects; building an electrical stimulation device to measure wound healing stages and another project profiling the immune response to create a saliva-based COVID test. I admire innovative research and love being in the mix of it.
I enjoy staying involved at Clemson, holding leadership roles in the Lambda Gamma chapter of Theta Tau (a professional engineering fraternity), participating with the Society of Women in Engineering (SWE), and various intramurals. I am also a Bioengineering Department Ambassador at Clemson and love talking about our department and meeting prospective BME students.
I'm always looking to connect with inspiring individuals and explore new opportunities in biomedical engineering. Feel free to connect with me!
