Ashley Chung

I am a nursing student at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing with a strong interest in patient care and supporting others. Through my previous healthcare experiences as a hospital volunteer, nursing assistant student, and dental assistant, I have gained experience interacting with patients, assisting with basic care needs, and helping patients and families feel comfortable in healthcare settings. I am compassionate, dependable, and attentive, and I enjoy building connections with people from different backgrounds.

I hope to continue developing my patient care and communication skills while providing patients with companionship, comfort, and support.

Dental Assistant at Lisa Tao Dental (2022-12 – 2024-02)

• Cleaned and sanitized dental tools and equipment, straightened treatment rooms, and restocked supplies to prep for next patient and maintain health and safety practices.
• Assist during treatments/X-rays and maintain patient records.
• Managing of front office operations, including greeting patients and scheduling appointments.

Volunteer at Regional Medical Center (2023-10 – 2025-07)

• Escort and discharge patients, provide information and support to visitors, and answer questions as needed.
• Shadowing of other nurses, observing hands-on care, and interacting with patients.

• Practiced checking patient vitals such as temperature, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels.
• Documented care actions by completing records and logs.
• Learned how to help patients effectively manage routine bathing, grooming, and other hygiene needs.

Restaurant Hostess at Chubby Cattle BBQ (2025-09 – Current)

• Greeted and seated guests.
• Managed reservation system, confirming bookings and accommodating walk-ins.
• Trained new team members on hospitality standards and restaurant policies.

Front Staff at Chick & Tea (2021-08 – 2025-07)

• Take orders, prepare food and drinks, handle customer inquiries and personal requests, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Trained new employees on customer service, food handling, and maintaining the cash register.
