Ashton Kozloski

I am a 22 year old looking for flexible hours and a relaxing job to fit into my life. I am especially excited for this Lush opportunity since I am a huge fan of both their products and their ethos. I have extensive experience in all aspects of customer service from direct sales, to cash register, issue resolution, product stocking, closing departments, sales and promotions, member loyalty programs, returns and exchanges, and more.

I am a very friendly and approachable person with great communication. I think the best work is done in a collaborative team but I also can work independently just as well. My favorite part about customer service is helping someone find exactly what they are looking for and making their day.

My most recent positions were academic ones at the University of Colorado Boulder. The first was as an undergraduate researcher. In this role I presented progress weekly in front of other researchers as well as guest attendees, took feedback and constructive criticism from meetings to improve the model and gain insight into the results.

I successfully defended a 48-page honors thesis in front of a committee of faculty members, including a presentation of original research and conclusions. I also took the role as a teacher's assistant for a professor in the math department. Here I assisted in grading weekly quizzes for a class of 70+ students with an average turnaround rate of three days.

I followed course policies regarding the calculation of grades and worked to impose the standards set by the professor consistently across all assignments. It was essential I presented reasoning behind credit given or withheld when student performance did not fit within the rubric. I was tasked with communicating class shortcomings, both conceptual and implementational, to help the instructor gauge the students’ level of understanding.

Before those two I had multiple experiences in retail, grocery, fast-casual restaurants, and similar. My role at Sprouts Farmers Market in Boulder, CO was a front-end cashier. I assisted customers with the checkout process involving scanning items, handling money, bagging, and quality control over sold products to assure customer satisfaction.

I was required to remain flexible to take on tasks as was needed in different departments to assist management. My prior retail experience to that was at King Soopers in Parker, CO as a meat & seafood clerk. In this role I monitored products within the meat department, including tracking dates, managing multiple freezers, assisting customers at the counter, and working with store management to facilitate store-wide events.

I closed the department each shift, including complete sanitization and full stocking of products.

I have a highest honors bachelors of arts in physics and a bachelors of arts with distinction in mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
