I am deeply involved in my community as a mentor, public speaker, and youth leader. A predilection to be engaged with the community intrigued me to be a member of the group theater movement at an early age. I became acquainted with research activities while I worked as a child researcher at the National Children’s Task Force (NCTF), Bangladesh,
funded by Save the Children Australia. Moreover, I worked as an editor of 'Shomvabonar Barta,' a newspaper published to disseminate awareness to protect children’s rights. Volunteering with
Bangladesh Scouts and Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) during high school and college augmented my leadership skills. The experience of debating for ten years not only brought copious accolades but also helped me to build a research-oriented mindset. I was my university's founding Vice
President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) student chapter. As a part of the SPE team, I organized seminars, competitions, and study sessions on petroleum technologies. My ability to perform within a diverse society has developed from all these extracurricular affiliations.
A penchant for the community and the environment developed when I worked as a Medical Gas
Pipeline Engineer at Imperial Hospital in Bangladesh. My key responsibilities were designing,
installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining the Centralized Medical Gas Pipeline System and
Biomedical equipment. I became a more responsible person who can work calmly under a tremendous workload as I had to ensure the uninterrupted medical gas supply system for the intensive and critical care unit (ICU and CCU) patients in a 367- bedded specialized hospital. I am now an engineering executive at Novelty Infrastructures Limited. I am advancing my environmental health safety (EHS)
knowledge in engineering projects, project management, quality control, etc. I am a core member of the company’s health engineering research initiative, a unique research program to design a modern-day hospital infrastructure to mitigate the severity of Covid- 19 pandemic. All these diverse working experiences enhanced my thirst for learning even more.
