My job as a shift leader is to supervise up to 32 youths, with various partners. My current assigned post is the mental health unit. My previous post was a male general population unit which is the largest unit on the facility.
I was there for 2 1/2 years. My post before that was a lower level drug unit. I have worked various units around the facility, including the female unit. I have experience in the female temporary stabilization unit, strip searches, & pat searches.
I have worked mobile security around the yard during the PM shift. For my previous unit, I was in charge of placing unit supply orders, youths clothing orders, & hygiene for juveniles. I make sure all paperwork is properly filled out, unit log book is accurate, count tools and sharps, etc. & door lock checks.
I also conduct unit checks on various units throughout the night. For about two months, I have worked the AM shift. This consisted of various movements around the yard. Taking youths to recreation, kitchen, school, and any scheduled activities.
While i was on modified duty, I worked with Human Resources & Administration. I was in charge of filing & scanning paperwork for applicants that didn't get selected. I was also in charge of doing verification of employment and contacting references via phone for current applicants.
With Administration, I did standard paperwork for policy and procedures.

With the manager position, I ran and supervised the shift by taking customers orders, bagging the food, & making sure everyone on my shift is doing what they need to be doing. I opened and closed the store. I had a manager key.
I am experienced in doing inventory for the store. I did the temperature logs, cashing out money for crew members, & incomes and banking at the end of the night. I made sure the times and labor on our screen was good.
I also conducted interviews, hiring, and write ups if necessary
