Hello! My name is Aya Sugai-Munson and I am currently a sophomore at Boston University Sargent College. I am pursuing a double major in Human Physiology and Medical Anthropology on the pre-medical track. My primary residence outside of Boston, MA is Seattle, WA.
As a Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills Intern at Stanford School of Medicine, I applied my passion for medicine and garnered skills necessary for a career in medicine. I practice leadership driven by empathy and diligence in my roles as Class of 2025 President for Sargent College Student Government and Vice President for Beta Psi Omega, BU's biology fraternity. With my commitment to devoting myself to my passions, organization, and communication skills, I will be an enthusiastic addition to any work environment.
As Vice President of Beta Psi Omega, the pre-professional biology fraternity, I direct 14 executive board members and track all Chairs’ progress towards short and long-term goals. Weekly, I lead executive board and Chapter meetings as well as provide mentorship to new executives. I also oversee event planning, fundraising, and execution for academic, social, service, and recruitment chairs and manage relations with outside organizations such as Kaplan and community service groups.
As President of Sargent College Class of 2025 student government, I lead executive board members and supervise company outreach and event planning. I also plan social events to strengthen the community bonds in Sargent College.
I am a sophomore at Boston University majoring in Human Physiology and minoring in Medical Anthropology.
