Social Work Student looking for work in Philadelphia, PA in relation to community service and public health, interest in working with children and families but hoping to make a difference in the lives of all populations.
I have mostly worked in customer service and food service until now, which helped me develop plenty of people skills, the ability to navigate in stressful situations and with multiple people, and communication skills.
Completed 75 college credits so far with the intention to continue my Bachelor of Social Work once I move to Philadelphia. Most classes have been General Education, with a few specifically focusing on my area of focus, such as Intro to Psychology and Sociology, Intro to Early Childhood Education, Death and Dying, Social Problems in a Modern Society, Cultural Studies, Public Speaking, and a religions and ethics course. I think all of those will greatly aid me in the area I'm seeking a career, and I plan to continue my education to become a Licensed Social Worker within the next few years.
