Bennie Halwood, born and raised in northern Arizona near the 4 corners.
High-school and attended some College. Mother had a heart attack and I withdrew from College to care for her. I am married 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Worked various jobs from construction, water/waste water technician, coordinator for a company for adult with disabilities.
Assessor for the State of Arizona, and Utility company.
Technician at a College, school, residential, Townhomes, apartment, multi family housing and high rise. Did farming work, livestock and small jobs. I love the outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, traveling, exploring and being with family. Involved in Back to the future Three movie, marbrolo commercial and episodes with Sesame Street. Family owned a horse rental business, and was a big part of the business.
College basketball for 1 season and ran marathon. And I love to work.
My recent role is being a Maintenance Technician for a Multi family housing 130 units. I was the only technician for one year and half. Property was still under construction 3/4 of the homes were still frames, west entrance was still dirt, pool, spa and clubhouse we're even built.
We only had one resident in 1130, and I would do punch walks with the subcontractors. I had many experience with maintenance, so I was working with vendors to correct our discrepancies. What I accomplished from all that was responsibility.
I come each day and do grounds, walk homes that passed inspection, ran water, toilets, showers etc. Clean units, a few more residents starting moving in, I walked with my tools to do work orders until they finally got 2 golf carts. I achieved alot at this property, when the pool and spa got water and I started maintenance.
I help tour new visitors and printed application. I would get help someday from my supervisor and office staff from Eastmark. Until warranty expired on the property then everything was on me, I still worked with subcontractors on major construction issues.
Until the west side of the property warranty expired, then it was really just me. I accomplished alot here at Avanterra.
Like I mentioned i went through grade school graduated High-school. Went to college with my mom, I reach 34 credit hours and my mom has a heart attack. Now it was only my dad working so I withdrew from college and care for my mom for 2 years.
High-school was a vocational school, I learned farming, welding, basic electric, drywall, plumbing and leadership. I had various trainings, I was a trainer for CPR/ First Aid, defensive driving, defibrillator, medication dispensing, seizures disorders with being a coordinator and Medical Assessor etc. Trained for basic electrical with utility job, water pumps, cloranator, fluoride and liquid chlorine gas at well stations.
Certified CPO recently with Avanterra. My last certificate was CNA certification, but never went back to the health field.
