I have been a Registered Nurse for a total of 28 years. I started on the have on the on Med/Surg Unit as a Staff Nurse and then a Charge Nurse of 22 bed unit. I worked with other RNs and LPNs. Then I became a Resource Nurse which used to be the Nsg Supervisor role.

I was responsible for entering pharmacy after hours to provide medication for the units as needed besides providing nursing tasks as well. The other units were ICU, ER and OB too. Then I became a Unit Manager of a 30 bed skilled unit which was attached to our hospital.

I was responsible for providing and delegating care to RNs, LPNs and CNAs. I was responsible for informing families about the patients nursing care and therapy participation. Then I went back to working on the Med/Surg Unit as a Charge Nurse and substitute Nsg Supervisor.

I am BLS, ACLS and ANCC Med/Surg certified.
