I am a Cloud and DevOps Engineer with over 8 years of experience designing, operating, and scaling robust AWS and GCP infrastructure. Throughout my career, I've specialized in building resilient platforms and automated CI/CD pipelines that can handle high-throughput workloads—supporting systems that process over 1,000 TPS and tens of millions of events daily.
Having operated as the sole DevOps engineer for mission-critical production systems, I thrive in environments that require high autonomy and end-to-end technical ownership. One project I'm particularly proud of is rebuilding Apache Superset from a fragile, manually-managed instance into a fully automated, production-grade deployment using Terraform, Packer, and Docker Compose—giving the data team a reliable, self-service analytics platform they could depend on.
I am passionate about Terraform, reliability engineering, cost optimization, and establishing "paved roads" that empower engineering teams to deploy securely and efficiently.
Core Competencies: AWS, GCP, Terraform, CI/CD Automation (GitHub Actions), Docker, ECS, Apache Superset, System Reliability, and Database Management (Redshift, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
DevOps Engineer Mobivity | Jun 2018 – Present
Technical Leadership: Operated as the sole DevOps engineer for nearly two years, owning production infrastructure, security, and reliability across multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) environments. Served as the primary technical resource across engineering, data, and operations.
Infrastructure & Automation: Migrated 20+ microservices and serverless workloads to Terraform and GitHub Actions, standardizing CI/CD pipelines and drastically reducing deployment times.
High-Throughput Systems: Architected the infrastructure for a highly-scaled offer and promotion wallet system (contracted with Subway), handling over 1,000 TPS at peak and processing 10+ million offers nightly on ECS and RDS PostgreSQL.
Data Platform & Apache Superset: Rebuilt Apache Superset from a fragile, manually-managed instance into a production-grade, auto-scaling deployment using Terraform, Packer, and Docker Compose on ALB/EC2 ASG—providing the data team with a reliable, self-service BI and analytics platform. Partnered with data teams to maintain complex ETL and streaming pipelines using Kinesis Data Streams, Firehose, EMR, and MWAA.
Reliability & Optimization: Designed fault-tolerant architectures utilizing SQS dead-letter queues and automated redrive logic. Right-sized infrastructure globally and leveraged Spot Instances to significantly reduce cloud spend.
Security & Compliance: Migrated legacy IAM users to AWS IAM Identity Center and Google SAML identity federation. Built automated compliance scanners to audit AWS accounts for tagging violations and unused resources.
