I am a recent graduate and board certified PA coming from Faulkner University’s PA program in Montgomery, AL. Over the last 27 months, I have completed seven semesters of vigorous course work and around 1600 hours of clinical experience. Though I loved most of my clinical rotations, I found myself feeling most comfortable in the ER and in any rotation where I was in the OR.
Prior to PA school, I worked as a medical assistant, amassing 1700+ hours of clinical experience, most of which was through the pandemic. I am excited about the next part of my journey and would love to be a part of your team!
Medical Assistant IV - In order to gain patient care experience for PA school, I began working as a medical assistant for the American Family Care clinics around Montgomery, AL after graduating from undergrad. In this job, I was quickly trained for other parts of the clinic other than just patient care, including lab work, radiology, scribing, and some parts of reception. I worked here full time through the pandemic until beginning PA school in September 2020.
I remained as a part time employee to work occasional weekends while in school.
Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (Faulkner University, Sept 2020 - Dec 2022) - I was fortunate enough to be able to return to the school where I completed my undergrad for my graduate work. I completed seven semesters of coursework and around 1600 hours of clinical work during my time here before graduating in December 2022. Since then I have been board certified and am awaiting state licensing.
Bachelor’s in Biochemistry (Faulkner University, Aug 2015 - May 2019) - I spent 4 years of undergraduate work at Faulkner University obtaining and Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry with a minor in both physics and in Biblical studies. During my time here, I held multiple jobs on campus as well as was the president of multiple organizations.
