Hello! My name is Brandon Lee, I'm a graduate student at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and currently looking for a new home or job to grow and become a Master Technician in the future. My current and realistic goal to achieve is A-B level/technician, afterwards I want to become certified as a hybrid specialist.
I do have experience in the automotive industry working for Ray Catena Infiniti, working on luxury cars and I'm very appreciative for the experience/opportunity at my previous job. Overall, I'm a lube technician who wants to become more than somebody who changes oil and I'm very open ears, willing to learn and work hard.
As many starting technicians start their careers, I did start my experience at a tire shop by learning to change/balance/mount tires and worked my way up to find better opportunities and become a lube technician at Ray Catena Infiniti.
Infiniti, made me realize how serious this field has become and boosted my confidence, while working there I learned to complete PDI's, change brake pads/rotors, perform alignments and annotate multi-point inspection. My experience working at a dealership has drastically boosted and motivated my confidence to become more than a lube technician.
Since I wanted to get my foot into the field, I wanted to learn and educate myself, so I applied and graduated at Universal Technical Institute at Bloomfield, New Jersey. I am not a terrible student who did nothing and copied off others, as I wanted to learn how certain components on the vehicle operated or functioned. The most and hardest part of the courses was learning electrical, diagnosing and hybrids.
Although the failing rate was higher, I managed to have fun and learned to diagnose circuit wiring and high voltage batteries. I graduated Universal Technical Institute on September 13, 2024 as an automotive technician.
