My name is Brandy, and I work in the retail cluster field. Which means it's part of my groove and grind to understand the purchasing habits of guests (this way it is easier to make presentation decisions and discover ways to build baskets, overall increasing sales)! With past experience in roles at David's Bridal and Ulta Beauty/Clinique Boutique, I can also understand how equally important it is when a customer ISN'T saying something. Soft skills are essential when trying to gear specific promotions/rewards or programs, but can also help identify opportunities for connection (not everyone is comfortable in public, able-bodied, able to hear, or know what they should purchase).
