I currently work as an Admissions Advisor for Concordia University Irvine’s ABSN Program. I uphold the responsibilities of recruiting and fine detailing the processes for future nursing students to be a part of this program. I also have previous experience working as an Academic Advisor specified to the 10th grade cohort for a nonprofit organization, The Wooden Floor.
I hold the responsibilities of setting up student’s success and attain the highest guidance possible within their sophomore year and preparing them for their transitional high school year as they excel to the next grade. Previous to my past two jobs, I was working as a lead/instructor for the Titans Ases Afterschool program. Most of the tasks and responsibility I do include academic/activity planning, instructing and supervising over a class of twenty or more students, communicating with both students and their parents, and co-leading fellow staff members.
I have worked with different age groups from elementary to middle school students, children with special needs, high school students, and adult students. I was able to improve my skills gathered from past and current work experience in understanding the community and cooperative communication between a student or parent and I. To attain the ability to communicate with fellow coordinators and staff, and as well as being a helping hand when needed amongst my peers.
I proudly hold a completion in a Bachelors Degree majored in Sociology and a minor in Child Adolescent Development from California State University Fullerton. In addition, I also have completed an Associates degree in Social Sciences from Porterville College.
