Breanna-Jo established a passion for design while she was a sophomore in high school. She went to college on scholarship to earn her Associate’s degree in 3D Modeling and Design Technology. During her studies, she earned her certification as an Autodesk Certified User.
She put her certification to use as she embarked on her career in April of 2019. Breanna-Jo has been in the design industry for 7 years, beginning work as an Electrical Designer in the shipbuilding industry. She excelled in the industry for 4 years before moving on to Industrial and Commercial Design, and has completed 3 years in her current position as a Building Planner with Gulf States Engineering.
She plans to relocate to Virginia Beach, VA and is currently seeking new opportunities in the area.
Breanna-Jo began her career with Huntington Ingalls Industries in April of 2019 as an Electrical Designer I. She was promoted to Designer II after 9 months of dedication to her role. She maintained her position at the company for 3 years using AutoCAD, Shipconstructor and Navis to create 3D models as well as 2D general arrangements for Navy vessels.
In February of 2022, Breanna-Jo was presented with an opportunity to work with Trident Maritime Systems. She accepted the role as an Outfitting Designer, utilizing her AutoCAD skills in creating furniture arrangements for Navy vessels. She stayed with the company for 1 year before seeking out new opportunities.
Breanna-Jo began working with Gulf States Engineering in March of 2023, taking on a new role working under architects in commercial construction. There, she developed new skills, such as Revit, Construction Cloud and Recap. She combined those skills with her expertise in AutoCAD to create production packages and to provide BIM support for multiple industrial and commercial projects. She has completed 3 years working for the company and currently holds the position as a Building Planner.
Breanna-Jo earned her Associate’s Degree in 3D Modeling and Design Technology at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. During her studies, became an AutoCAD Certified User.
