Dr. Bears is seeking a full spectrum OB/GYN position due to relocation to the Westchester/Rockland County NY Area. An alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, she graduated with honors in Neuroscience and minored in French Cultural Studies.
She then devoted a year to neuroscience research at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine before attending the University of Maryland School of Medicine. There, she honed her passion for OB/GYN and was recognized for her research on the obstetric management of fetal congenital heart defects and preeclampsia. Following her time at medical school, Dr.
Bears completed her residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Her exemplary approach to patient care earned her induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and accolades in Ultrasonography and Minimally Invasive Surgery, including the AAGL Award for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. She also completed certificates in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and DaVinci Robotic Surgery, even winning first place in the hospital-wide robotic surgery competition.
While Dr. Bears is well-versed in many areas of OB and GYN care, she is particularly passionate about minimally invasive gynecology, abnormal uterine bleeding management, high-risk obstetrics, contraception management, and infertility.
