About

Hi there my name is Brittany. I have been a nurse since 2012; I started my career as a medical/surgical nurse at Porter Adventist hospital. I have since moved on to work for women's and childrens services particularly NICU for the the past 8 years.

During those 8 years I also worked as SANE at Denver Health Medical center. I have been largely in a leadership role during my career as a charge nurse. I am excited to explore the field of forensic nursing.

I am a person who believes in compassionate care for everyone the work I have done brings me a deep sense of fulfillment. I am a mother to 2 girls and am I native Colorado resident. I am an upbeat and positive person and try to bring this attitude of positivity and caring into my work life and interpersonal relationships.

Working in the NICU helped me develop a critical care knowledge base when working with infants and neonates. Also the position has given me countless hours of hands-on experience with precepting and working as a relief charge nurse.

As a SANE I worked in the Emergency department when there was a case of sexual assault. I was responsible for forensic evidence collection, trauma relief and treatment; and offered education pertaining to sexual health and well-being.
