My ambition is to take the years of academic experience in deep-water deposystem and reservoir geology learning, of consultancy and training, and work on projects in both exploration, and development production. I am uniquely positioned to take my global experience of working on deep-water reservoirs, my academic background and publications, and my experience in training and teaching, to work on projects for multiple companies.
Bryan is a Geologist with global renown for his expertise in deep-water geology and deep-water reservoirs in exploration, development, and production. Alongside 30 years of research, he consulted widely with the E&P sector into reservoir presence, quality, geometry and connectivity in the North Sea, West Africa, South China Sea, Caribbean, Bay of Bengal and North Africa. He has taken thousands of oil company participants from around the world on field and classroom-based courses for decades and is an expert communicator, educator, and technical consultant.
His knowledge of turbidite reservoirs, their geology and their behaviour, is probably unparalleled.
Bryan worked initially as a consultant on Jubilee in 2012-13, as well as Guyana, French Guyana, Suriname, Mauritania and other areas for Tullow. He then joined Tullow in 2016 as Principal Geologist II based in Accra, Ghana, where he was functional lead for Geology on both Jubilee and TEN fields. His ideas and models on these assets fundamentally changed Tullow’s approach to understanding quality and connectivity within the reservoirs and his work has had a long impact on field development.
Bryan worked in Exploration from 2019-2025, including running the Cote d’Ivoire-Ghana team, dealing with JV partner engagement, budgets, managing a multidisciplinary team, and representing Tullow. As acting Geology Function Head through this period, he has run the Tullow X&S community with the Chief Petroleum Engineer, run inhouse classes and seminars, field classes, core store workshops and other activities for the X&S community.
