I am a Brazilian photographer and graphic artist based out of Boston, MA. I’m currently studying in Still Photography at Ithaca College and am expecting to graduate in May 2023. Greater purpose is up to the individual and only the individual.
Greater purpose does not just mean one singular life goal, it means that you have something that will motivate you at any point in time. The headspace I find myself while creating has allowed me to escape reality and find my own sensation of purpose. A sense of freedom that has allowed me to be me and creatively elevate myself!
As the head of photography for HiFashion, I organize and direct photoshoots for social media promotion. I am experienced with posing multiples models to create forms and shapes, focusing on properly lighting individual skin tones, and creating a fun and professional environment. The job has adequately taught me to properly scout locations before themed shoots, guiding assistant photographers, and creating mood boards to reference a certain vision.
Collaborative, I use strobe equipment to shoot 100-150 plants for weekly biddings. I focus on paying attention to the focal points of each exotic plants. As a freelancer in Ithaca, I have collaborated with a multitude of musicians; becoming a part of a community where artist have passionately come together to create. In my experience, I have produced content for promoting on social media and covers for singles, EPs, and albums.
Still Photographer at Ithaca College. This past semester I completed my thesis work that I been working on for 4 months. It is a rhetorical piece documenting an artistic expression using chalk as a form of graffiti and protest.
The concept consists of capturing myself over time tagging statements in Portuguese. Statements concerning the corruption in the world from violence, drugs, xenophobia, police brutality, child neglection and how these realities have affected myself and the present generation of children.
