B.S., Cybersecurity - UWW
I have a broad background in cybersecurity and systems engineering that spans risk assessment, infrastructure management, and team leadership. My experience includes conducting security reviews for large organizations, administering multi-platform environments, and guiding both technical colleagues and non-technical stakeholders through best-practice workflows. Earlier military service further strengthened my ability to lead diverse teams and maintain composure under pressure.
Altogether, these experiences have equipped me to support and secure complex technology operations with a steady, solutions-focused approach.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. The program’s curriculum covered topics like cryptography and network security, system security engineering, malware analysis, digital forensics, intrusion detection, system administration, secure web-server and UNIX administration, data structures, discrete mathematics, computer organization and assembly programming, JavaScript/DHTML, server-side scripting, and cybersecurity law. Through extensive laboratory work I gained practical experience in vulnerability scanning, SIEM and IDS configuration, secure coding against OWASP Top 10 threats, forensic evidence handling, and risk-assessment techniques aligned with NIST and NSA benchmarks.
Complementing this technical foundation, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Colorado Boulder, strengthening my analytical capabilities, writing, critical thinking, and cross-disciplinary communication skills—attributes that enhance my effectiveness when translating complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
