As a lifelong educator, Carolyn Hess has a varied teaching history which has endowed her with a broad skill set and an expansive content knowledge base. Her 25 years in the Texas secondary classroom have given her the opportunity to “spread the Science word” to thousands of students, whether they be in the freshman Biology classroom, Honors A&P, AP Environmental Science, or other disciplines. Carolyn has often moonlighted as an adjunct professor and finds special fulfillment in helping adults re-connect with Science and reinvent themselves after primary careers or parenthood.
She also enjoys collaborating with and mentoring teachers in conferences, educator test preparations or Summer professional development experiences.
I have over 25 years of experience in secondary environments in Texas teaching Biology, Environmental Science and Anatomy & Physiology from the general education level up to dual credit/AP.
I also have a cumulative 5-10 years of adjunct experience teaching Biology, Anatomy & Physiology and Environmental Science at post-secondary institutions online and offline.
I currently teach remotely for Southeastern College, Nexford University and Keiser University. I enjoy leading A&P -related sessions at Science conferences, as well as attending these conferences to keep fresh in my field.
I am always looking for the next interesting opportunity!
I hold a Master's Degree in Biology from the University of Texas as Arlington.
