Every career I've pursued; it seems I've always worked with people one on one directly and eventually worked up to leadership roles like salon manager, instructor, final quality control inspector, and evening supervisor of the women’s portion of the jail. So responsibility is not anything that scares me but I do handle it very seriously always keeping everyone's safety my first priority. The past careers blessed me with a mountain of experience to bring along with me that hopefully, can be the perfect fit.
My goal is to become a valuable asset in that my being there helping lighten the load might make it just a tad bit happier a place to come to work each day for everyone. Yes, I am an optimist.
Became a Master of Cosmetology Professional in 1997. After working for and learning from some of the best, I followed their lead and opened myown business for several years before being offered the job to be an Instructor of Cosmetology for the Technical College System of Georgia. In 2017, I dramatically changed careers to work for the Georgia Department of Corrections as a Peace Officer for a few years working my way up from CO1 to Multifunctional Officer/Counselor of our RSAT program.
Moved to Alabama where I went to work for the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy at the jail, ending up being a training officer and supervisor of the women’s dorm at night. Since then I've been doing mostly administrative/Clerical work.
I have a pretty extensive list of post secondary accolades, but still fall short of my associates degree by one semesters course load. I am actually looking at schools currently to get that finished up before the year is out.
