• Perform day-to-day plant maintenance as a contract millwright, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, repair, alignment, component replacement, and machinery reliability.
• Troubleshoot industrial equipment and perform inspections, tests, and precision measurements to identify mechanical failures and determine components requiring repair or replacement.
• Perform precision horizontal and vertical shaft alignment using laser systems and traditional rim-and-face methods with dial indicators, scales, feeler gauges, micrometers, and other precision tools; have achieved alignment tolerances as tight as 0.002 inch.
• Remove, replace, uncouple, and recouple equipment couplings; replace bearings, lip seals, other equipment seals, sight glasses, and mechanical components as required.
• Support critical maintenance work through extended schedules when required, including 16-hour shifts and around-the-clock job coverage to help complete priority work.

• Worked primarily in a millwright repair-shop environment, receiving varied industrial equipment for troubleshooting, repair, balancing, bearing replacement, overhaul, and rebuild.
• Performed field assignments in addition to shop work, including a month-long SpaceX project in Brownsville, Texas, building out pump bases and installing pumps.
• Completed an approximately month-long Air Liquide field assignment repairing fin fans.
• Previously supported maintenance work at the current Pasadena plant before transitioning to Alpine Industries; combined tenure at the facility is approximately two years.

• Supported petrochemical, chemical, power-generation, automotive, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance work at facilities including Exxon Baytown, Chevron Cedar Bayou, LyondellBasell La Porte, OxyChem Vinyls, Flint Hills Resources, NRG, Entergy, Motiva, and Ford/Blue Oval City.
• Rebuild centrifugal and reciprocating compressors; disassemble and reassemble compressors and turbines; overhaul pumps; remove and install motors; change out gearboxes; and perform mechanical work on blowers, centrifuges, reactors, bearings, seals, and related equipment.
• Plan machinery removal, relocation, and installation by evaluating job conditions, determining center of gravity, selecting appropriate rigging methods, and developing practical disassembly/reassembly approaches.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering requirements, perform layout work, and execute engineer-requested inspections and precision measurements.
• Mentor millwright apprentices in trade techniques, equipment maintenance and repair, precision alignment, proper tool usage, and quality workmanship.
