My role is to lead for technical assurance from detailed design through to handover (completion of the works), to ensure that BBV can demonstrate compliance to all HS2 works information, standards and contract technical requirements. This includes ensuring that the wider team understand the relevant requirements and provide the appropriate Validation and Verification evidence to demonstrate that the requirements have been met.
- Implementing technical assurance management procedures.
- Facilitating configuration workshops/reviews as necessary.
- Managing the production of packages - QRP's, SAPS, CERT and ensuring quality of data captured.
- Ensure all HS2 technical and contractual requirements are included in the BBV plans and procedures, and communication of these to the team.
- Work in accordance with the BBV IMS. Prepare, implement, and maintain the Technical Assurance Plan (TAP), which governs how BBV plans, manages and discharges its assurance obligations.
- Reviewing and developing systems and processes for the management and control of site information, data, design and construction related documentation and records.
- Monitor, audit and improve the application of the technical assurance and handover management processes.
- Safety observations using the Observations App for Close Call or Good Practice. Patticipating in Site Surveillance visits to complete and publish to Dalux the surveillance visit report ensuring any actions arising from Observations are communicated to Site Assurance Team to implement.
- Providing reports to the senior management team on progress and quality of construction and handover deliverables.
- Receiving Code 1's from HS2 with all QRP's (Client approved with no comments) and zero Code 3's.
Communications, Marketing and Design - Kier Regional Building London - London

Assist the Communications Business Partner (CBP) in the delivery of Kier Construction London's communication plan. Ensure that all communications, internal and external, adhere to brand, style and messaging guidelines and represent Kier values.
- Prepare and circulate basic Kier Construction London (KCL) Newsflashes
- Assist in the preparation of large presentations
- Prepare and circulate KCL's contributions to various Kier social media channels.
- Prepare, monitor and maintain an up-to-date Communications Calendar and PR Planner.
- Responsible for Kier Connect boards on sites (purchasing, sending material, liaising with sites).
- Responsible for collating new starter information for monthly Comms profiles for Newsflash.
- Regular monthly newsflashes (SHE, Quality, New Starters etc.) - info source and create monthly newsflash with this information.
- Project Completion Case Studies for Kier website – liaise directly with project teams to source this information and rework it for the website. Liaise with client representatives for sign off.
- Provide general Communication support to all staff by providing essential templates (site newsletters, departmental booklets etc.) and all other communications as required on time and to brand.
- Work alongside different levels of seniority and departments to help create Comms to best suit their material/message.
- Liaise with the CBP in respect of external articles and press coverage. Source relevant material as and when needed.
- Work as a collaborative member of the Kier Construction London team, facilitating the sharing of knowledge and best practice across the business.
- Sharing important business messages with all employees via newsflashes, some shared on a regular / monthly basis and some on a ad-hoc basis.
- Content for @kierconstruct and @kiergroup Twitter feeds as well as the Kier Group LinkedIn page.
- Rework existing material into different formats for different channels.
- Send relevant write ups and photos to Group to include in the new weekly Heads-Up newswire.
- Link with sites to find out what is in the pipeline and update the PR planner.
- Sourcing all relevant project case study material for the Kier website – liaise with project teams direct to source material.
- Source the relevant sign offs from key stakeholders including client representatives.
- Manage the New Starter Comms process which includes, Newsflash and capabilities lists.
- Create 'site event in a box' Comms packs for all events (invitations, presentations, posters, Attendee directories, PR goods, etc.)
- Provide collateral for CSR Events e.g. flyers, brochures, banners and posters for career fairs.
- Open Doors collateral support (brochures, posters, presentations, PR goods etc.)
- Create write-ups after the event for Twitter, LinkedIn and London News.
- Create presentations (internal and external) as and when needed.
- Sit down with relevant department heads to find out which manuals, training collateral and / or booklets they need in house or for events and then use the Comms templates to create the bespoke material.
- Weekly updates to planners so that they are completely up to date for all meetings internally and with Group.
- Manage all Comms for the SHE department including posters, presentations, Monthly PSL & SHE Newsflashes, Minimum Standards Newsflashes etc.
- Distribute CSR features via various channels including social media, MyKier and the London News
