• Contributed to the selective breeding programs of European sea bass (European project AquaExcel2020) and Nile tilapia (led by WorldFish)
• Designed experimental protocols
• Transferred technology from North to South
• Managed a team of ten in Malaysia and internship students in France
• Analysed research data and communicated the results in international scientific journals and conferences
• Main outcomes: solutions cutting costs and duration of selective breeding by 85% in Nile tilapia, identified the most feed efficient natural population of European sea bass

Investigation of alternative sources of protein and lipids in European sea bass diet

• Joined an industrial consortium led by Le Gouessant Aquaculture (aquafeed company) to develop a fish-free feed
• Developed an experimental protocol to compare six ingredients (insects, yeast, animal proteins, terrestrial plants, spirulina and marine algae)
• Collected, analysed and synthesised the research results
• Main outcome: insect and yeast diets equalled commercial diet performance
