I have a severe to profound bilateral hearing loss since the age of 3 in which I consider myself Hard of Hearing. Over the last decade, I have come to learn a beautiful language in American Sign Language (ASL) to converse with people.
Previously, I was a Partner Teacher and taught in a Hearing Education Service (HES) classroom setting; I was responsible for teaching 6th to 8th Math and Science to many Deaf children with the access of both English and American Sign Language (ASL). Also, I student taught at school for the Deaf; I was responsible for teaching 1st to 8th many of the common core subjects to many Deaf children with the use of American Sign Language (ASL) in my teachings.
I have a Master in Special Education with a Dual Certification in Childhood (1-6) & Deaf & Hard of Hearing (K-12).
