I am currently a Junior at Emerson College where I am majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Gender studies. I played basketball my freshman year of college at the University of Denver (Division 1) and am closing out my playing career at Emerson college. Through my sports experiences I understand the importance of teamwork through my competitive basketball experience.
I have developed into a leader for teammates during winning and losing stretches. I have the ability to motivate colleagues through my coaching experience. These are just a few of the skills that I have transferred into my everyday life as a young adult preparing for life outside of the classroom.
From 2018-2021 I was an assistant basketball coach for my former AAU and high school programs. During my senior year of high school (2019-2020) I volunteered at “Sacred heart Society” where I worked with retired nuns on our school campus. We provided activities and creative projects two times a week as well as attending religious celebrations together.
That same year I also volunteered at a Bay Area women's sports initiative where I would support girls in underprivileged communities explore sports in diverse and fun ways. In 2022 I was a coach at Rain Basketball Academy in Denver working with middle and lower school students teachings the fundamentals of basketball. Most recently, I worked at an organic salad shop the summer of 2022.
I attended Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, California from 2016-2020. I then went on to the University of Denver for my freshman and sophomore year of college. I transferred to Emerson College for my junior and senior year to finish my Batchelor's degree in communication studies with a minor in gender studies.
