Chau Nguyen has been working as a registered nurse for three years. In 2019, she obtained her Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University. She has three years’ experiences working on a medical surgical unit at Carney hospital, one year of experience as a community nurse at Mattapan Community Health Center, and one year of experience at Comprehensive Pain Management clinic, where she is also working as a nurse practitioner student and training to become a competent nurse practitioner for the facility once she graduates from the master’s program.
In her current role as registered nurse at Carney Hospital, she is tasked with evaluating the medical conditions daily as well as developing and directing a rotational system to manage the care of patients and coordinate workforce management. During this time, she has been recognized as a dedicated, ambitious, and in possession of the leadership skills necessary to provide patient care. She thrives on multitasking and takes great pride in establishing respectful and supportive relationships with colleagues, patients, and patients’ families.
Over the years, changes in the medical field and evidence-based practice has been among the driving forces for Chau’s interest in obtaining a higher education degree. She is currently in her last semester at the MCPHS University for her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a family nurse practitioner concentration.
