I am an LGBTQ+ educator and UX/UI Designer, with a background in anthropology. I am deeply curious about how people understand the world around them and in what ways that impacts how they navigate products, processes, and institutions.
I have experience in tradition UX design client work and user experience through my time working in education and anthropology.
I support my clients' needs in their mobile app and website design with my skills in end-to-end design, from research and discovery through to high fidelity designs and prototypes. I have experience designing for B2B and B2C clients in fintech and eCommerce industries. I am also a User Research in the 2023 cohort for Out in Tech's RUXStars - my team is focusing on LGBTQ+ inclusive hiring practices to offer employers recommendations to recruit and retain queer talent.
Before discovering my talent and passion for UX, I was still utilizing design thinking and user empathy in how I designed my work in Student Affairs. I conducted assessment, held in-depth interviews, and other research methodology to assess student pain points and needs. I would then implement that feedback into programs, events, and resources they could interface with through my work as an Assistant Director of the LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
